icantstoplaughing

I don't know why I enjoyed this entry.
It wasn't trying to be witty and it didn't have a purpose.... but it was funny and I felt like I was on drugs. I enjoyed this a lot more than the author's HappyLand series. What made me laugh harder was all the goofy messages laced in the clip.

The false ending was great too.

I really loved the ability to stop the clip, run it backward and forward.

I would've rated this entry a 7 overall but the inclusion of Mr. T's Be Somebody tape made me bump the score up to 8.

someone took my HTML!!!! eeeeee!!!!

I've taken a break from writing reviews for portal entries due to the amount of crap in it.
A good solid entry like this was enough to get me back into it.
The voice acting was superb- the volume was just right and the characteristics of children characters was accurately portrayed.
The sound effects were incorporated very well and the dialogue was just priceless.
There are a few parts were the sound does break up a bit- intentional or not it's a minor flaw.

The biggest flaw of this entry was the lack of a play button and a replay button at the time I viewed it.

The only other thing was the lack of credits present in the entry- it was nice to see an entry without the long list of credits but the author didn't even put his name in it!
I hope it is added in the future to prevent people from stealing this very amusing short.

BUT YOU STOLE MY JAVASCRIPT FIRST YOU WHORE!!!
AAAAHHHRRRRHHHHHHHRR RHHH!!!!

Hahahahaha!

Captured the Benny Hill spirit.

This portal entry captured the spirit of Benny Hill's comedy. It was a fun clip to watch.
One minor thing that bugged me was the first scene (and other chase scenes where the same background was used) where "Fabio" chases the "Fukemon"- the background was not looped smoothly enough so the trees kept "resetting" their position.
Other small things in the clip were amusing- the Calvin Lame Jeans and the bust of Jimmy....
The final scene when the credits displayed was my favourite... poor Fukemon, he got caught!

It was funny and the important thing was that it made me laugh. What stops me from giving this a higher score are minor technical details- for example the animation in general was a little blocky- which I'm sure the author can smooth out in future entries.

That's a lot of class...

That was a great short.
Although the "farting" sound kind of detracted from the clip, the animation and style of the clip blew me away and made up for it.

The physics in the clip (the falling of the characters etc.) were animated with shocking realism (I'm not talking about the cartoony parts where Fita hangs in the air- I'm talking about the movement of the characters) It felt very organic and real. When Fita is falling between the buildings you can almost feel the heat generated from her feet sliding down the walls of the building.

The humour was also great- from the guns rolling out to the "music" starting when the walkman comes on screen to the leg of the corpse moving to fit the chalk outline.

This was non-stop action with a decisive climax.
The ending music was a little anti-climatic though- the hanging drum roll leaves much to be desired for.

So what was wrong with the clip that kept me from giving it a 10?

IT'S TOO SHORT!

I hope the author makes more soon!
I'm hoping that this just the 2nd of many Scrap Book series to come.
Also, check out Damian Martin's Tana series- great stuff there too.

Wow, bud. Thanks. Do you do this for a living?

R.A.D. was B.A.D.

The message was not relevant to the content of the movie.

I usually write longer reviews but being Turd of the Week says more than anything I could possible fit in this space.

These two l33t d3wds!!!

The computer voice saying M-M-O-R-P-G was enough to make me fall off my chair laughing....

don't lose your XP!!!!

I don't know how this entry slipped by me but I should be beaten for missing it the first time...
Ok, maybe it was late, maybe I was tired but I died laughing watching this...
Great lyrics, great images- everything was put together very well.
This entry was extremely innovative...
I hope to see more from the author in the future.

I remember playing Rescue Rangers for Nintendo when I was a kid so maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much....

Watch it now!!!!

NO PLACE TO BUILD NO CAMP TO SPAWN!!!!

Great voice acting and funny to boot.

Great script, great animation, great voice-over...

The only problem I can find with this clip is the Janet Jackson impression didn't sound like her...
But that's the only flaw I noticed....

It was a great clip. The idea of the breast exposing device was fresh and funny.

The thing that really impressed me was how the story in the clip progressed... the climax of the story where Britney steals the show was hilarious.

I can't wait to see more from the author jato!

OMG that looked so painful....

Not only did that look painful but that sounded painful as well...

Great clip- a lot of style...
I loved the entire clip from the flashback to the victory scream. The character sure showed that turd!

I'm also glad there was no blood involved in the clip... realism is good but that would've went overboard in this clip.

Warning- the following review may be biased.

Some of you might not get this portal entry because you might not know why it was made.
The BBS regulars will all know why this was made and understand all the in-jokes in this entry.

Now is it hypocritical to make a violent cartoon to protest Penny Bain's claim that websites like Newgrounds.com spawn true life violence in kids?
No. This entry shows how Newgrounds is an outlet for the people, a way to express how you feel by making something instead destroying something. By seeing our raw emotions manifested in a cartoon can we quell the need to act upon them in a socially irresponsible manner. We are frustrated at people who blindly claim that violence stems from the media. Often, violence in children are due to the fact that children aren't raised with enough love and attention that they are due- parents are busier these days and are not there to instill a set of morals into their children or supervise them. Instead of attacking art (yes, this entire site is a work of art, started not for the want of money but as a cry against the pressures our youth (or anyone for that matter) face in today's society) does anybody attack the system? Shouldn't we be tackling child abuse, bullying or providing someone there for children who are feeling lost in life? Or any other crises our youth may encounter? What about the education in our current school system? Are we catering to the emotional needs of the students? There are many social ills in society that need to be dealt with that are true cause of violence. Did they need television during the Spanish Inquisition to tell them how to torture people? During the times of the Romans, did they need the Internet to tell people how to crucify criminals? Violence is a part of human nature that will manifest when people are stressed. Take away our ability to express ourselves and we will express them in more socially unacceptable and more direct ways.

Now don't take this entry personally Penny- you should be flattered to become an icon.

PS: Yes, that is my voice... and not my natural one!
PPS: Hi VicViper!

BAHArts responds:

Hello there, Shrapnel. :)

Concise and to the point.

Author's comments: "This is mainly for girls, but tell me what you think anyway.
Watch it in medium quality unless you have a pretty fast computer. "

Now I don't think this is mainly for girls- everyone can enjoy from this short and simple flash entry with a message. Boys also face a pressure in todays society albeit a different one that girls face...

The music was timed well with the animation.
Although I would've like to see gratuitous violence involving Martha Stewart, I can only hope the grenade has seriously maimed her.

Also, this entry needs a replay button.
