Crazy crazy Jim!

Damn that Jim is one crazy SOB.
Farting chunks everywhere! Not exactly high class humor but Jim does it with style.
I saw Milton from Office Space (Stephen Root) in a clip. Why? Who knows! Who cares! I laughed.
The music's a gas too.

And Jim keeps you guessin! I thought he was going to something worse with the lady when he brought her down but BAM! fart chunks!

Too bad he killed himself.
We'll never see Jim in future cartoons...
Or will we....

Another Demo with mislabelled food.

Japanese, Chinese same thing right?
Well to this author they are.

Hmm.. now let's see- if we rate this "demo" high we get to see more.
More what?

I don't even know what I saw the first time.

[The Ivy and Doll Show]

Creepy in a good way.

Dig the style of this short but it ended way to quickly.
Needs a more fleshed out ending but I like the characters and the graphics.
The dead flies are a nice touch too.
Intro music is pretty sweet too "da da da dah da da!"
Add a replay button to the cartoon- I'm too lazy to right click and hit play again.
But what it needs more is a start button- I'm usually not watching my browser that has a loading image- I'm a hardcore multitasker.

[The Little Jamurai]

Da way of the Jamurai

Great voice acting and animation.
The clip just shows a lot of class- dialogue flows as does the action.
Maybe not the most profound clip out there and corny but it's a good display of hard work and talent.


Recommendation:
Portal needs more Jamurai cartoons. Author should make more.

Amusing clip- needs a starting button though.
Made me chuckle which is what most of the portal entries I've seen haven't been making me do lately.

The hotdog truck was hella funny and I'm glad you covered up Leon's privates.

[The Final Task]

Stunning visuals.

Stunning visuals.
One of the best animations I've seen using the shockwave format. Backgrounds great. Character movement- superb. Really flows.
But when the curtains close what are we left with?
A warrior and 2 dead bodies.
The visuals were essential for this clip to work but without it we really are left with nothing at the end of the day. But does a clip like this really need a plot? I'm glad the author didn't try to stick in some corny plot just for the sake of having a plot. It'd ruin it if done improperly.
I can't wait for more from the author.
It'll be mindblowing to see this applied to a longer clip.

[MENTOS! (spoof)]

Mentos needs more mint.

Nothing really sticks out in this clip.
It did not even follow the Mentos format-
Now if the cops came and the let him go because he flashed them the Mentos that would be a Mentos commercial...
But did he need it to stead the car because he needed the money anyway? Killing the lady for it really wasn't too outrageous considering the circumstances. It has to be out of the ordinary of your character for it to be a Mentos commercial. And like the chop shop needs you to pop a Mentos to bring in a stolen car.
And you really need some sound effects- taking the music straight just doesn't cut it these days.

Is the Mp5 that strong? : )

Though I doubt the mp5 could take out all 3 of those terrorist this is an entertaining clip.

I don't see why people complain about stick figures- Just because something looks professional and all realistic doesn't mean it's a great portal entry.

This entry is a good demonstration of "proper" use of stick figures.

Could be a bit longer though- needs more shooting

Fucking lol.
That was one of the funniest clips I've seen.
No real plot or point but a good demonstration of
what we can expect from this animator.
Reminds me of a R-rated Seinfeld clip.
The guy with hair is Jerry and the bald guy is George and the legless gimp is from Kids.
The voice acting sounds professional....

The graphics are great too.

Can't wait to see more from the author.

[High School Jocks Part 2]

Plot: Guys kill people, cops come, guy sees monkey and falls in love with it. Cameo by Bucktooth.
Rather than study for midterms I decided to browse the bottom feeders of the portal- scores 2 and lower- when I came across this
submission "High School Jocks Part 2".
I expecting something obscene- perhaps something with cheap violence involving High School Jocks.
Instead, I encountered some odd shaky line animation and some catchy old music. Although this entry made no sense at all, I am ashamed to admit I enjoyed this submission.
Why? 1) It's not pornographic- too many Portal entries rely on this- that's what you get when you let sexually frustrated 14 year-old boys express themselves. 2) It's original- yes it's borderline dogshit and makes no sense but I'm pretty sure the author wanted it to be "cheap" 3) The music suits the animation- this movie would be 100% dogshit w/o the music
Now this portal entry isn't intellectually stimulating and the author didn't put any extra features in it (the movie just loops forever- I had to right click the bloody thing to stop it) but the whole thing is so damn cheap it's entertaining. Now you probably think I'm on crack. But I liked it and I'm not afraid to say it. It's zany and fun. So go on- flame me for liking it.
